TRAFFIC BUREAU                                                        The primary goal of the Hopatcong Police Department’s Traffic Bureau is traffic safety.  To help achieve that goal, the Traffic Bureau enforces both moving and parking violations that are causative factors in traffic accidents.  This enforcement action decreases the number of serious accidents.    The traffic Bureau is comprised of several police officers with specialized training in accident investigation, accident reconstruction, work zone safety, traffic enforcement, radar enforcement and DWI enforcement.  These officers are also involved in the nationwide campaigns, “You Drink, You Drive, You Lose” and “Click it or Ticket”.   The Traffic Bureau conducts traffic studies throughout Hopatcong based on the data collected by officers and traffic related complaints generated by the residents of Hopatcong.  If you have a complaint or know of a traffic problem you can complete the traffic survey located in the traffic complaint page or contact:               Ptl O’Shea       (973)-398-5000 ext 248          moshea@hopatcongpolice.org             Ptl Kraus          (973)-398-5000 ext 249          dkraus@hopatcongpolice.org             Ptl Bohn           (973)-398-5000 ext 254          mbohn@hopatcongpolice.org
